8:30 AM Drive to Eibsee
8:45 AM Take the cogwheel train from Eibsee to Zugspitzplatt
9:15 AM Enjoy the views of the mountains and the glacier
9:45 AM Take the cable car to Zugspitze
10:00 AM Walk around the observation platform (path to highest point is closed in winter)
10:45 AM Walk to Austria 🇦🇹
10:46 AM Enjoy the views from the Austrian side
11:15 AM Visit the Adventure Museum and the Snow Crystal World
12:00 PM Return to Germany and have lunch with a view
1:00 PM Take the cable car back to Eibsee

Want more? Get the 2-peak pass instea and and keep going!
1:45 PM Drive to Garmisch Partenkirche
2:00 PM Take the Alpspitzbahn cable car
2:30 PM Step on the Alpspix observation platform
3:00 PM Take the cable car back to Garmisch Partenkirche

If you still have some energy, [5:00 PM] have a walk around Garmisch Partenkirche or even visit Partnach Gorge before [6:00 PM] completing your day!

3. Take the second highest gondola in Germany to Karwendel 
4. Ski, snowboard or toboggan (or do them all)
5. Explore the Partnach Gorge in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Winter is a great time to visit the Alps. Up to no Winter is a great time to visit the Alps. Up to now, @christosklerides and I have been to Chamonix in the French Alps, Inssbruck in the Tyrolean Alps, Kranjska Gora in the Julian Alps and now Mittenwald in the Bavarian Alps. 

And as I am not a great skier (I can barely stand up in the skis..) we always look for other opportunities to enjoy the snowy mountains.

I always love an opportunity to take a lift up a b I always love an opportunity to take a lift up a building, hike a hill or (even better 😉) climb some stairs to the top of a tower to enjoy the views from there. Here are some 5 view points you should consider visiting while in Munich:

1. New Town Hall Tower (take the lift to floor 4, then another one to floor 9 - outdoor observatory)
2. St. Peter’s Church Tower (climb the stairs to the top - outdoor observatory)
3. Frauenkirche Tower (combination of stairs and lift - indoor observatory)
4. Monopteros (small hill at the English Garden)
5. Olympic Tower (travel 190m by lift- both indoor + outdoor observatory)

Bonus: Olympia Hill (small hill at the Olympic Park)
