A pre-Christmas walk in the Bank and the City of L A pre-Christmas walk in the Bank and the City of London

[SAVE FOR LATER]

🎄Start your walk at London Bridge station and pass through Hay’s Galleria to reach the River Thames.
🎄Follow the path east towards the Tower of London grasping at the London skyline and other landmarks along the way! Starting in mid-November you will also find a small Christmas market along the river.
🎄 When you reach the Tower Bridge cross it to go to the other side of the river.
🎄 Pass in front of the Tower of London and enter the City of London for a walk amidst London’s skyscrapers.
🎄 Head to Heron Tower to have lunch (or brunch) at Duck & Waffle but first make a quick stop at Leadenhall Market for some unique interiors.
🎄 After your lunch return to the riverside and follow the path west.
🎄 Cross the London Bridge back to the south bank of the river and continue walking until you reach the Globe Theathre and Tate Modern but first don’t forget to stop by the famous Borough Market!
🎄 Walk over the Millennium Bridge and have a close up view of St. Paul’s Cathedral before concluding your walk!

BONUS: If you’re still not tired after all that walking return to the South Bank and keep walking until you reach Waterloo for views of the London Eye and Big Ben. The Christmas Market continues on that side of the river too!

How to spend a day in the Cotswolds [SAVE FOR LAT How to spend a day in the Cotswolds

[SAVE FOR LATER]

🌳 Arrive early to beat the crowds at Bourton-on-the Water (for winter arriving at 10/10:30am should be fine).

🌳 Walk around and enjoy the scenert, visit all the cute shops and have a break at one of the cute cafes! We stopped at the Bakery on the Water and had a piece of gingerbread cheesecake!

🌳 Go for lunch at Moreton-in-Marsh (arrive at around 1pm to ensure places are still open for lunch).

🌳 Moreton-in-Marsh is small but don’t forget to have a quick stroll around the main street before leaving.

🌳 Finish your day with an afternoon walk at Stow-on-the-Wold. Arrrive at around 3pm to get a few hours of action before everything closes at 5/5:30pm.

🌳 This slightly bigger village has plenty of cute shops to keep you occupied for a couple of hours and why not stop for some afternoon tea at one of the tea houses and cafés there (we went to Davenford Cotswold Gardens). Note that many close at 4pm but there are some (including the one we visited) that stay open until 5pm.

All three villages are very close to each other so it should be very easy to reach them. Of course there are many more villages in the Cotswolds to visit but these are great for a first time visit in a gloomy and rainy winter day. Note that parking could be a struggle if they are very busy.
